Caramelized beets

The perfect escape from an unexpected downfall of guests. Rich caramelized beets will play well as a solo party and will enrich any more serious dish as a side dish. If you like sweeter - pour orange balsamic vinegar, spicy - chili balsamic cream. Serve with basil pesto, feta and mint.

For the tastiest beets you will need (2-4 servings):
• 2 boiled/roasted beets
• a drizzle of oil and a spoonful of butter
• 75 ml of balsamic grape vinegar with honey
• selected balsamic vinegar cream: orange or chili.
• chopped garlic
• salt, pepper

For serving: Basil pesto, mint, feta.

Cut the boiled/baked beetroot into pieces of the chosen size, fry briefly in a mixture of oil and butter, salt. Add the chopped garlic and fry for one minute. Pour in the balsamic vinegar and let it evaporate. After steaming, taste with selected balsamic vinegar cream and
fry for another 1 minute. Serve with fresh basil pesto, mint, feta.
